What are Diamond Keys?
Diamond Keys are introduced in the Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut DLC pack and are somewhat similar to Golden Keys in usage as it also unlocks the rewards but yet better.
Golden Key lets you open up the single chest while Diamond Key allows you to access all things present in the room such as weapons, chest, and other loot.
One Diamond key dropped the 4 items and 1 out of these 4 items will be a guaranteed Legendary weapon and item.
Diamond Keys are exclusively available only in Director’s Cut version, so in order to acquire these keys, you have to buy Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut version. But remember, things are not going to easier here if you have to just buy a DLC pack and hoping to get some Diamond keys.

Get Diamond Keys in Borderlands 3
You’ve got the idea about these new elements in the BL3, so here’s how you can obtain the Diamond keys in Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut edition.
First, you need to keep few things in mind. Diamond keys can be found in the Vault Card Crates which can be opened through Vault Cards.
The Vault Card and Vault Card Crate are the new perks added to the BL3 which you can obtain by leveling up in the game. You can simply make progress in the game and you’ll get the Vault Card which could use to get the Vault Card Crates that may contain the Diamond Keys along with some other exciting loot including legendary stuff, cosmetics, and what more.
Tip: You can collect more Vault Cards by playing the daily challenges and weekly quests that come in the game through this way you can easily level up and get Vault Card Crates.
How to Use Diamond Keys?
Hopefully, you’ve lucky day you got the Diamond Keys in some of the Vault Card Crates. Now you can make your way to Sanctuary 3, there’s a special spot where you can use your Diamond Keys.
Once you reached the location, there you’ll see a bridge of the ship. When you go below the bridge you’ll see a diamond symbol on which a message is appearing that says “Choose Wisely“.
Once you used the Diamond Key, the three walls will get open and you’ll see the lots of items to loot which were hidden behind the walls. You’ll have 5 minutes to collect the items as many as possible, once time over the door will close. To reopen it you have to again use a Diamond Key.
Just before the doors get closed a random item will be dropped and it is sure that this will be a Legendary item.
