If you want to know how to play split screen in Stardew Valley:

  • You can Build a cabin from Robin’s for each player.
  • You can choose to have the cabins already built from the start if you’re starting a new game.
  • Please open the game menu.
  • Then you can Scroll down to Multiplayer and select “Start local co-op.”

Local multiplayer is similar to online multiplayer, therefore, all the rules and restrictions are applicable when you play split-screen. When you play split-screen, it is almost similar to playing solo, although your approach towards certain quests and sleeping is going to be slightly different in the case of split-screen as the addition of more players will need that to happen.

The update 1.5 is right now applicable only for PC, however, other platforms such as Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo switch multiplayer and mobile devices will receive the update shortly in early 2021 itself.

It is good that the PC players have received the update 1.5. This is a cool update and the split screen option is also a welcome act. The fun of playing with friends is altogether different and much more enjoyable as compared to single player. Hope we could tell you how to play split screen in Stardew Valley.
